Description:
MOBOX is a mobile self-storage container that has a number of features, some of which are common for mobile self-storage containers, and some which are specific to the MOBOX units.

The compact size of MOBOX makes them ideal for personal use, because they can be kept at a private residence. The compact size also means that they can be transported relatively easily, and are much easier for operators to control in tight spaces.

MOBOX units are fully insulated, can be securely locked, and feature a built in weighting device.

The most unique feature of the MOBOX is the GPS tracking, providing the user with peace of mind as they can monitor the location of the unit when they’re being transported to a storage facility or being delivered to a work or residential site.
Brief:
The brief was to create a brand for MOBOX, a mobile self-storage container unit. The branding should ideally highlight the compact, cube-like dimensions of the unit, which make it much easier for everyday people to use. It should also highlight the key feature that sets it apart from other similar units, namely the GPS tracking system that comes as part of the MOBOX unit.

Because of its compact size, MOBOX is great for personal use, so the branding should feel welcoming to individual or personal users, rather than other storage unit companies that might appeal more to big companies regularly transporting larger storage units or a bulk number of items.
Solution:
The logo has been created with relatively square-shaped characters for the text, representing the cube-shaped MOBOX units that can stack in different orientations due to their compact nature. The typography features a tracking path along with a current location marker, which is also used as a breakpoint between paragraphs, an underlining and final full stop feature, or simply to hold the design over multiple pages, thereby unifying the branding.

The square format has been implemented throughout supporting assets where possible, such as business cards, brochures, and stickers. This is to reinforce not only the square-like shape of MOBOX but also the compact and efficient size of the unit.
